Edith Louise Strate, 87, died Sunday. She was the widow of Clarence Leroy Strate. They had been married for over 45 years before his death in 1998.
Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of Dorcas Larkin. Edith had worked for many years at the LADD School.
She is survived by her sons, David Strate and his wife, Barbara and Steven Strate, and his wife, Linda all of North Kingstown, her grandchildren: David and Steven Strate and Candace LaRose and her great grandchildren: Shawn Strate and Chloe Bohannan.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
