LACONIA-----Lina Schaefer, 101, formerly of Vincent Drive, Gilford, died on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Belknap County Nursing Home.
Lina was born on October 16, 1916 in Inkerman, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of Eugene and Francoise (Robichaud) Arseneau. She lived for over forty five years in Lincoln, NH with her late husband Maxime P. Landry who died in 1965. She also lived in Florida for several years, moving to Gilford, NH to live beside her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Pam Landry.
Lina was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph Church, Lincoln and Our Lady of The Lakes Church, Laconia and St. Joseph Church, Laconia.
Lina loved to play cards, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She was a great cook and homemaker, family was very important to her.
Lina is survived by two sons, Laurent G. Landry, and his wife, Kathy of Colchester, Ct and Roger J. Landry and his wife, Pam, of Meredith , NH and Wells Beach, ME; a daughter, Lorraine M. Borelli and her husband, Vincent, of Cambridge, MA; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Olivier Arseneau, of Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Helen Arseneau, of Montreal Canada and Marie Arseneau, of New Brunswick, Canada. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by first husband, Maxime P. Landry, 2nd husband, Lyman Ware and her third husband, John J. Schaefer and by her four siblings.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00am in Riverside Cemetery, Old Airport Road, Lincoln, NH.
