Barbara Louise (St. Pierre) Steinbrick, 87, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Providence; surrounded by her family, sons Paul (wife Cheryl) and David (wife JoAnn) Steinbrick, on August 18, 2018.
Barbara lived in Rumford for over 51 years with her late husband Carl Edmund Steinbrick and worked at Fram, RI Hospital and Cranston General Hospital.
She is survived by three grandchildren; Josiah Steinbrick of Los Angeles, CA, Arielle and Seth Steinbrick of East Providence, RI and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Miles Kenney and Rowen Steinbrick.
She is the sister of the late Doris Davis of Jacksonville, Florida and is survived by her sister Alice DeNofa of No. Providence. Her loving family also consists of nephew Steven DeNofa and two nieces, Linda Duncan and Cindy Ferrell and four great nieces, Stephanie Paquette, Angela Vieira, Pamela Lopes and Tracy Ferrell.
Barbara was an artist with an independent spirit. She was an avid supporter of women’s rights and Special Olympics. She was a volunteer at elderly facilities, Trinity Repertory Theater and environmental projects. Funeral arrangements will be private.
