Our lovely Dorothy was born September 9, 1936 in Ventura, CA. She entered into eternal life on March 10, 2018 after a long battle with Dementia, surrounded by her family.
She attended Holy Cross and Ventura High School. As a teen, she loved to roller skate with her sisters at Skateland on Telegraph Rd, where she met her husband Kenny. She loved listening to music, dancing, walking at the beach, driving fast cars and spending time at the park with her extended family. She was employed at the Star Free Press during the 70's, but was better known as a stay at home mom, and provided a safe after school place for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth R Foulks, parents Mack Benny and Mercedes Martinez, sister Mary Osborn, brother Richard R Martinez and granddaughter, Nicole Christine Pearcy.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth M Foulks (Jacque), Rockie Wilkins (Steve), Diana Twyman (Tim), Charles Foulks (Donna), Karyn Cann (Dean), long time special friend Michael Herron, an Aunt, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 23 grandchildren, 26 great grand children. a very large extended family and numerous friends.
A Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 East Main Street, Ventura. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately afterwards at the church hall next to Assumption School.
