Michael A. Robinson, 73, of Fairhaven and formerly of Landgrove, VT, passed away unexpectedly and far too soon on August 21, 2018. He was the devoted husband of “his sweetheart” Ann (Bodzioch Bojack), and loving father of Alexandra Robinson of Manchester VT; Katherine Cirelli of Huntington, NY; and Carl William Robinson and his wife Jessica of Jericho, VT. Michael’s greatest joy was being Opa to his grandsons, “Trippster” and “Olli-Baba”. He is also survived by his special uncle, Dr. August Schwenk (and his wife Delores) of Belfast, Maine. The animal lover he was, Michael also leaves behind his four-legged buddy, Ziggy.
Michael was born on Christmas Day, 1944 in Poland and his early years were spent in Garmish, Germany. In his teens, he moved to New York with his parents, the late Christa-Maria (Sonneck) and Joseph Robinson.
Michael was a man of many talents, but his greatest joy was giving his heart, time and intellect unconditionally. His generosity was indescribable – he was the kindest, most selfless person. Michael will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as someone who gave so much and expected nothing in return. May we always remember his sparkling blue eyes and his cunning smile. Michael was the epitome of a humble gentleman.
Michael’s passion for landscape designs will continue to be admired by so many and provide comfort to his family for many years to come.
Rest in peace MFWIC; you will be greatly missed but will live in our hearts forever.
Services are private and the family kindly asks for solitude at this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Michael’s memory to the Fairhaven Animal Shelter, 200 Bridge Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
