Mr. Michael V. Diorio, a resident of Andover and beloved husband of Georgine (Sharis) Diorio, passed away at the Wingate At Andover Nursing Home in Andover on Tuesday afternoon, August 21, 2018. He was 73 years old.
Born in Everett, Massachusetts, on June 26, 1945, he was the beloved son of the late Michael and Jessie (D'Elia) Diorio. Mr. Diorio was a graduate of Northeastern University. He was employed as an Engineer, for many years. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed reading, telling a good joke and traveling. He was also an avid Red Sox fan. Above all, he was a very devoted husband, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Georgine, Michael is survived by his loving sister; Nanine and Anthony Lucia of Everett, nieces and nephews; Kenneth Lucia, Michele Lucia, Rene Lucia, Andrew Lucia, Kimberly Alpuerto, Nicholas Sharis, Christa Sharis, Gennie Sharis, Madeline Alpuerto and George Sharis. He was also the brother-in-law of Lorraine and Richard Cardoza, Jean and Bob Ritchie and George and Marie Sharis.
His funeral will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 4:30 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 1 to 4 PM. Interment will be privately held.
