Edward L Perry, 91, of North Truro passed away August 21, 2018 with his wife and children by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary (Donahue) Perry.
Edward was the Postmaster of the North Truro Post Office for 27 years, until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Truro Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years, earning the rank of Captain. He was also a member of the Truro Board of Fire Engineers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Christopher Perry of East Windsor, NJ, David and Louise Perry of North Truro, Karen and Domingo Joseph of Marston’s Mills, and Maureen and Paul Silva of Belchertown, as well as his grandchildren Matthew and Jennifer Joseph, Emily and Meghan Silva , and Sarah, Scott, and Daniel Perry. Edward was predeceased by his parents Frank and Rose (Lopes) Perry, brother John Perry, and sisters Madeline Prada and Henrietta Mavrogeorge, all of North Truro.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown on Friday, August 31st from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday September 1st at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Truro.
