Rose C. (Niro) Mucciarone 102 of Cumberland, Rhode Island, died peacefully, Monday August 20, 2018 at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Albert A. Mucciarone, who died in 1992.
Born December 8, 1915 in Milford, a daughter of the late Alfonse and Marianne (Pannichelli) Niro, she was a longtime Franklin resident, before moving to Cumberland 23 years ago to live with her son.
She was raised and educated in Milford and retired many years ago from the former Franklin House Healthcare located on Chestnut Street in Franklin.
Rose enjoyed crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Albert A. Mucciarone, Jr. and his wife Diane of Blackstone, Robert Mucciarone and his wife Kathleen of Cumberland and Arlene Sarrica and her husband George of Melbourne, Fl, a sister Angelina Niro Torregrossa of North Providence, RI, a brother Anthony Niro of Sun City, Arizona.
She was the sister of the late Daniel Niro, Constance Bucchanio, Josephine Tosches, Carmella Gogliandro and Margaret Taft.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Monday Aug. 27th, at 11:30AM in St. Jude Church 86 Main St. Norfolk, MA. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours are Monday from 9-11AM at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St.
