LACONIA----- Dorothy "Dottie" L. O'Leary, 87, comfortably passed on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Taylor Community in Laconia, N.H.
Dottie was born on February 9, 1931 in Dorchester, MA, the daughter of Henry and Bertha Barry, she raised their family and resided in Quincy, MA before moving to Laconia, N.H.
She worked 27 years for AT&T before retiring in the 1980's. She would like to be remembered by the full life she lived. She always had fun and brought fun/laughter to various occasions. She stayed active and enjoyed traveling, dancing, roller skating, Bingo and ice cream. She loved to socialize and surrounded herself with family and numerous wonderful friends.
Dottie survived her loving late husband William J. "Bill" O'Leary, her loving daughter Deborah A. Troup, and "Significant other" Wilford "Bill" Plante. Survived by loving daughters Patricia A. Phinney of DE, Susan J. Quinn of MA, Ann M. Clark and her husband Steve of N.H., and Joanne McGue of MA; nine grandchildren, James and Jason Phinney, A.J., Brian, and Natalie Quinn, Michael and Kristine Pelton, Kerin and Brittany McGue; four great grandchildren; close friends, Lois Walsh of MA and Arthur Zetes of NH, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 pm also at the Funeral Home. The family requests you join them in celebrating her life with a buffet luncheon at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH. Serving will begin at 2:30 pm.
Burial will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Blue Hill Cemetery, (meeting at the office across the street from the cemetery entrance to line up), 700 West Street, Braintree, MA. There will be a Funeral Service upon arrival at the burial site.
At 2:00 pm the family requests you join them in celebrating her life at Maria’s, 240 Quincy Ave, Braintree, MA.
