Robert E. “Gene” Hulett, 78, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held, 11 AM, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Hulett was born March 26, 1940, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late William B. & Cora Viola Brown Hulett. He lived in the community all of his life and was a bread delivery man for Merita & Sunbeam. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son, Victor & Linda Hulett of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Jeanine & Greg Freeman of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Victoria Lynn Daniels & Chris, Eric Freeman and Josef Freeman & Carree and great-grandchildren: Range Freeman, Lyndon Daniels, Brady Thomas and Carter Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Watson Hulett.
