Clara M. (Pacella) Bacchi died on Tuesday, August 21, at Glen Ridge Nursing Care of Medford. Born and raised in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (DiSalvo) Pacella. Clara moved to Medford in her teens, and was later a “Medford Citizen of the Moment,” former President of the St. Joseph Mothers Club, the Forever Young Club, and the Italian American Club .
Clara was the beloved wife of the late James Bacchi, and the devoted mother of James Bacchi Jr. and husband Scott Balentine of San Francisco, and the late Anthony J. Bacchi. She was the dear sister of the late Antonio Pacella, Elda McNeff and Lillian Pacella, and is survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford on Friday, August 24 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may meet at the main gate of the cemetery. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
