NJ- Charles J. Wills, age 76, passed away on August 13, 2018 at Serenity Hospice Care Services at Aspen Healthcare Center after a June 30th fall, chronic kidney concerns and significant late-onset cognitive decline. He was the husband of the late Marjorie E. Wills. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Potter) Wills. Prior to retirement he worked in many settings including Kaiser Aluminum, The Fall River Florist, The Bristol Agricultural School, Shaw’s, and Rico Manufacturing in Bristol, RI. In addition, he worked provided several functions in human service settings at the Corrigan Mental Health Center in Fall River, Crystal Springs in Assonet, and for the Guild for Human Services in Waltham. Since retiring, he served on the Finance Board and was a member of the Catholic Association of Foresters and as Office Manager for the Behavioral Associates of Runnemede.
By kind words, faithful adherence to tradition, and virtuous regard for fellow man, Charlie loved life. Often later in life found at the casino, the movies, or the pier, the formation of family was first in his heart. With loving regard for his wife, his grandchild; Savannah Wills, and family summers at the Sea Crest on Falmouth’s Old Silver Beach, he is survived by his sons, Charles C. Wills of New Jersey, Mark and Kyle of Georgia, and Gregory and his wife, Sylvie, of Lawrence, MA. Siblings include Maurice of North Carolina, Barbara Baillargeon of Fall River, MA, Margaret Leal of Somerset, and the late Lilian Bouchard.
His funeral will commence from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. with a service at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
