Paul Reed “Bebo” Flanagan, age 78, of Brockton, MA, died peacefully on August 19, 2018 surrounded by his family. Bebo was the loving husband for 52 years of Priscilla A. (Kukla) Flanagan. Born, raised and educated in East Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John F. and Mabel A. (Reed) Flanagan. He was a proud member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local #3 Union for 50 years, retiring in 2002. Spending quality time laughing and teasing his family and friends meant everything to him and he enjoyed a good comedy roast. He loved to play pool and poker with the guys, followed all sports, and frequently spent time at Suffolk Downs and the Raynham Track. Bebo was always the center of attention and loved to get in the last joke. He had a passion for music and his Seeburg jukebox was filled with Doo-Wop hits and classics from the 50s through the 80s. He will forever be remembered bee-bopping around in his two-seater silver Mercedes with his Bebo license plate, a retirement gift to himself.
Bebo is survived by his loving daughters Tiffany (Flanagan) Markarian and her husband, Peter, of Raynham and Courtney Flanagan-Faber and her husband, Justyn, of Brockton; two grandchildren Michael and Vivienne Faber; his sister Arlene Avola of Stoneham, and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, in-laws and an entire circle of great friends. He was the brother of the late Rita Ciampa, John “Buddy” Flanagan, Jr., Norma Fitzpatrick, Ronald “Ronnie” Flanagan and Madeline DeRocco.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday, August 22, 3-7pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Thursday at 10:30am followed by burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
