Kharisma Ashlee James, age 33 passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 13, 2018 due to a tragic accident at Tippin Elementary School, El Paso, TX. Kharisma was a loving and devoted mother to Justus and Jasmine Holland of El Paso, TX. She leaves behind a loving family including uncle and aunt, Milford Jr "Uncle Butch" and Dorothy "Auntie Dot" James of New Bedford, MA as well as sisters, Alisha (James) Morrissey and her husband, Stephen of Norwood, MA and Amanda Marie James, PhD of Atlanta, GA and brother, Milford "Butchie" James III of New Bedford, MA. Kharisma was a beloved aunt to Madelyn, Amelia, and Olivia Morrissey. In addition, Kharisma had many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her.
Kharisma served 8 years in the U. S. Army as a sergeant and completed two tours in Iraq. She was proud to serve her country. She was a graduate of El Paso Community College and the Texas Tech School of Nursing. She held a Bachelor's Degree of Nursing and worked in the operating room at Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus.
She was laid to rest at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX on Monday August 20, 2018.
There will be a remembrance memorial service on Saturday August 25, 2018 at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford from 11 am-12:30 pm.
