Obituary

Peter Lincoln Bean, 70, of Franklin died August 14 in the Blaire House of Worcester.
Born in Queens, New York, November 15,1947, the son of the late Philip L. and Elinore (Foerth) Bean, Peter was a lifelong Franklin resident.
He was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School.
Peter’s passion was golf. He had been a member of the Franklin County Club for many years and served as assistant golf pro there. He then worked at Maple Gate County Club in Bellingham, where he recently retired.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Sgt. SEE30 and was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
He is survived by his brother Robert P. Bean and his wife Marghi of Kingston, New Hampshire, Deborah L. Bean of Franklin and was the brother of the late Helen L. Bean of North Carolina.
He is also survived by nephews, Owen Bean, David O’Keefe, nieces Mary Bean, Becky Jackson and her late husband David Jackson, Meaghan O’Keefe and Karen Bean.
He is also survived by his great-nephews, Shawn Jackson, Devyn Bean and Darren Bean along with great-nieces Sarah Bean and Mia Bean.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 15 from 2-4 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation 209 West Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
