Laconia-----James Michael Joyal, 73, of Old Morin Road died August 14, 2018 at the Laconia Center Genesis Healthcare after a long battle with dementia.
James was born on May 21, 1945 in Laconia, NH the son of Edward L. and Beatrice (Couture) Joyal.
James was involved with many parts of the trucking industry. He worked for Belknap Tire, Gilbert Concrete, was the New England fleet manager for Pepsi-Co, and worked for Jolicoer Beverage. He also owned his own transportation consulting firm, JMJ Transportation, and served as a Technical Advisor to the NH Towing Association for many years. He enjoyed ice fishing, boating, and fresh water fishing on Lake Winnisquam.
James is survived by his son Michael, daughter Jennifer, brothers Rodney and Robert, and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the St. Lambert Cemetery, 184 Province Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
