Robert P. Gugliotta, 67, of East Walpole passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on August 14th, after a 30-year battle with cancer.
Bob is survived by his beloved children, Robert E. Gugliotta (and partner, Melissa Mangini) of Weymouth and Annamarie Trialonas (and husband, Robert Trialonas) of Forest Hills, New York, as well as his loving partner, Karen Murray, of Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Bob is also survived by his brothers, John Gugliotta and wife Patricia of Cotuit, and Peter Gugliotta and wife Linda of Norwood.
Bob was the devoted Papa of his two beautiful granddaughters, Annie Elisabeth and Nora Claire, and a proud truck driver of more than forty-four years with Teamsters Local 25. Bob was a member of the Norwood Colonial Boys Fife & Drum Corps, proudly marching with the bass drum section for more than fifty years.
Bob loved the Beatles, trucking and—more than anything else—his adored community of family and friends.
Born on September 4, 1950, the son of the late Agazio and Marion (Adams) Gugliotta, Bob was raised in Norwood and was a 1968 graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School. Bob has lived in Walpole for more than forty years.
Friends may call at the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 892 Main Street, Walpole, on Monday, August 20th, from 4-8pm and are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole, on Tuesday, August 21st at 10am. Burial will be private.
