Billy L. Reaves, 63, of Wilcox County, Georgia, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, with the Rev. Bill Tracy and the Rev. Dr. Brent Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Reaves was born October 25, 1954, in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late George Elton & Bessie Lois Trawick Reaves. He was a 1973 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Billy loved his church and was a very giving person. He would do anything he could to help his friends and family. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by sisters and brothers: Mary H. Smathers & Bill of Slayden, Tennessee, Hazel A. Brown & Curtis of Wilcox County, Betty Jo Adkinson & Wayne of Rochelle, Johnny Reaves of Wilcox County, and George Elton Reaves, Jr. & Debra of Rochelle. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James David Reaves and Roger Reaves and a sister, Karleen Reaves.
