Carol A. McGee, 75

Dateline: North Attleboro, MA

Carol A. (Dion) McGee, age 75, of North Attleboro, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her adoring family on Saturday, August 11, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Stephen A. McGee, to whom she was wed on August 5, 1961.

Born in Attleboro, MA on November 2, 1942, she was a loving daughter of the late Paul, Sr. and Florence (Lavigne) Dion.

Carol grew up and was educated in Norton. She had made her home in North Attleboro for the past forty-four years, was a dedicated homemaker to her loving family and a communicant of St. Mark’s Church in North Attleboro.

Carol’s family was the focal point of her life. She enjoyed baking, gardening, trips to Florida, Cape Cod beaches and times spent at area casinos. In addition to residing for many years in North Attleboro, she and Steve had also lived in Connecticut.

In addition to her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, she is survived by her devoted children Lisa A. Morriseau and her husband Michael of North Attleboro, Timothy A. McGee and his wife Michele of Attleboro, Karen J. McGee and her companion Vicki Larson of Attleboro, and Kimberly A. Burrell and her husband Daniel of Attleboro. She was the dear sister of Phillip R. Dion of Norton, Florence G. Gilliard of California, Robert R. Dion of Pawtucket, and the late Shirley Pierce, Paul J. Dion, Jr., Roland N. “Pokey” Dion and George E. Dion. She was the cherished grandmother of Ashley, Victoria, Sarah and Stephen, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, August 16th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mark’s Church, 105 Stanley St., North Attleboro. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North Attleboro.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 15th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Community Visiting Nurse Agency, 10 Emory St., Attleboro, MA 02703.
