FALL RIVER – Gloria (Jacome) Medeiros, age 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 10, 2018 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of the late John S. Medeiros. Born in Swansea, she was the daughter of the late Manuel & Ann (Benevides) Jacome.
Gloria is survived by her daughters Barbara Michaud (husband Edward) of Somerset and Deborah Lynch (fiancé John Andrade) of Fall River; sisters Lillian King of Somerset and Dorothy Ducy of Uxbridge; 2 grandchildren Jennifer Miller (husband David) of Rehoboth and Kyle Michaud (wife Erin) of Holden, MA and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Manuel S. Jacome Jr., Mary Rezendes, Annie Pate and Janice Rezendes.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Sarah Brayton Nursing Center (Charlton Unit) for their care and compassion that they have served over the years.
Her funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday morning 9:30-10:30 A.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
