Obituary

Darlene Beausoleil, 71, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 9, 2018. She was born on January 22, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was raised in the Milwaukee area. Darlene married the love of her life, Edward Beausoleil, on March 12, 1966 and moved to Torrington, Connecticut where they raised their family. Darlene worked at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britian, CT for many years prior to moving to Milan in 2004 where she worked at Androscoggin Valley Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Above all else, Darlene loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother, and wonderful cook. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop.

Members of the family include her husband Edward Beausoleil, her children Cheryl Parker and husband Glenn of Torrington, CT and Michelle Quartiero and husband Bill of Torrington, CT; grandchildren Tanya Zito and husband Chris of Killingsworth, CT, Alyssa Michnevitz of Astoria, NY, Nicholas Michnevitz, active duty United States Navy stationed in LeMoore, CA, Paige Quartiero of Torrington, CT, and Tyler Quartiero of Torrington, CT; and great-grandson Luke Zito. She also leaves behind her father Donald Brieger, siblings Elaine Synold, Annie Watry, Donna Streich, and Mary Sikes, all of Wisconsin. Darlene was predeceased by her brother Bryan Dudley and her mother Helen Brieger.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlene’s memory to the American Lung Association of the Northeast, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
