Dorothea F. Brusoe, 93, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday August 8, 2018 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. She was born in Meredith, NH on March 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel (Killam) Piper. Dorothea grew up in Holderness, NH and had been a resident of Derry for the past several years. She enjoyed knitting and traveling with her sister, and had been a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Derry. Dorothea’s greatest joy was her family who she loved dearly.
She is survived her daughter, Kimberlee Raison of Windham, NH; three sons, James Davis of East Kingston, NH, Steven Davis of Fairfield, ME and Michael Brusoe of Sarasota, FL; fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Brusoe in 1971, her daughter, Elizabeth Bizek in 2015, as well as her brother John Piper and sister Ruth Hayes.
Calling hours were held on Monday, August 13th from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 14th at 11:00am in Blair Cemetery, Blair Road, Campton, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 25 Nashua Rd., Unit E - 3, Londonderry, NH 03053.
