Kenneth Richardson, 93

Kenneth Richardson, age 93 of Sandwich, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 9, 2018 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA.
Born in Attleboro July 4, 1925, he was a 1943 graduate of Mansfield High School and after enlisting in the Army Air Force he attended Colby College to become a pilot. He was a member of the civil air patrol at the Mansfield airport, where he housed his own plane after World War II.
After retiring from Sterling Manufacturing in Mansfield he and his wife Cleo Fulp Richardson moved to Sandwich, MA.
Dad leaves behind his daughters, Gail and her husband Tom Moon of Sandwich, Ginny Lapham and her partner Billy Donatelli of Brockton, Kathy and her husband Henry Maurer of Mansfield and Cinde and her husband
Jimmy Giovaniello of North Attleboro.
Dad had 8 loving grandchildren and 6 adorable great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cleo and dear son Gary.
Our family has been blessed with Dads loving care by all the angels at McCarthy Care Center and his dear friends Nancy & Scott Elliott, Carol Miselman and Tom G for always remembering dad with freshly dug shellfish.
“I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me, be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I’m missin’ just tell ‘em I’ve gone fishin.”
Visiting hours, to which family and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, August 25th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will be private.
