Obituary

William Robert “Bob” Ryan, Jr. 55, of Clinton formerly of Franklin died August 6 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital Boston. He was the husband of Christine Lang.

Born in Chelsea, May 3, 1963, the son of Bob and Peggy (Burns) Ryan of Bristol, New Hampshire, Mr. Ryan had lived in Boston and Millis in his youth and in Franklin for several years.

As a career member of the U.S. Navy he lived throughout the World.

He was a 1981 graduate of Franklin High School and a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Ryan proudly served for 21 years in the Navy attaining in the rating of Chief Petty Officer.

Following his Naval career, he worked as a civilian contractor project manager for the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children, Billy Ryan and Chelsea Ryan of San Ysidro, California, Sarah Ryan of Alexandria, New Hampshire and Shannon Ryan of Ft. Collins, Colorado. He is also survived by his step-daughter Kyra Cardullo of Tampa, Florida.

He is also survived by his sisters, Lynne Reger and her husband Eric of Terre Haute, Indiana and Kim Ryan of Bristol, New Hampshire, and his brother Dr. Michael Williams of Flint, Texas and many loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral with military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 p.m.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 5-8 p.m.
