Maryann Deese, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Georgia.
A memorial mass will be held 10AM, Monday, August 20, 2018, at St. William's Catholic Church in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Deese was born March 15, 1944, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to the late Alfred DiPasquale and Elizabeth Lelli. At the age of 20, she met, then later married the late Buford Deese of Fitzgerald while Mr. Deese was stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. The couple moved from Massachusetts to Fitzgerald in 1972. Ms. Deese attended and graduated from Ben Hill-Irwin Tech with a degree in nursing. Shortly after graduating, she gained employment with Fitzgerald Nursing Home, eventually becoming office manager. Ms Deese was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church where she was active in the weekly production of the church bulletin. Over the years Ms Deese valued quality time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as, crossword puzzles, cross stitching and a good movie.
Ms Deese is survived by her daughter, Brenda Victorson and her husband, Dana Victorson of Flower Mound, Texas; one grandchild, Rowan Victorson; Brothers, Alfred DiPasquale, Bernard DiPasquale, and Thomas DiPasquale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judith DiPasquale and her brother, John DiPasquale.
