Josephine “Joan” Dennis passed away peacefully at home Friday 8/3/18 at the age of 89 after an extended illness.
She was born in Alexandria IN on 4/4/29 and lived in Anderson most of her life.
She worked at Delco Remy 13 ½ years and then enjoyed raising her family of 3 children at home.
The Daughter of Herschel & Benona Neff and the devoted wife of Dillard “Chig” Dennis her husband of almost 69 years will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings and husband Chig (just 2 months earlier).
Josephine loved to travel and would “jump” at any chance to see the world around her. They had a motor home and loved camping and spending time with friends. She was quick to smile, loved to make silly faces with the kids, and her laughter and love filled every room. She loved flowers, taking pictures, and especially caring for her animals.
She is survived by daughters Cindy (Tom) Morris of Harlan IN, Dixie (Gary) Traylor of Brownsburg IN, and Son Kevin (Sharon Johnson) Dennis of Anderson, 7 Grandchildren, numerous Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Grandson, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 4 pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Services, with Pastor Tim Wilbur officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 prior to the service.
