WORCESTER: David A. Larson, 78, died unexpectedly on Friday morning, August 3, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Margaret A. “Peggy” (Welcome) Larson; a son, Mark D. Larson and his wife Becky of Douglas; two daughters, Donrue M. Larson of Whitinsville, Kellie A. Lainey and her husband Keith of Worcester; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A son, Peter J. Larson, his two brothers, John A. and Robert O. Larson, and a nephew, Paul O. Larson, all predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Arthur and Rita C. (Guerin) Larson and was a graduate of Commerce High School.
David worked as a truck driver with St. Johnsbury Trucking Company for many years until he retired. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Church, now known as Our Lady of Providence Parish and a long-time member of the Teamsters Union Local 170. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, spending time with his family, and was an avid sports fan.
