Arthur "Wayne" Hartsfield, 63, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, at Select Specialty Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Hubert Smith officiating. Mr. Hartsfield will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born February 5, 1955 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Mr. Hartsfield was the son of the late William Arthur Hartsfield, Jr. and Mary Frances Folsom Hartsfield. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Lee Hartsfield and John “Wade” Hartsfield. He was a mobile home escort driver and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Quitman.
Mr. Hartsfield is survived by four sons and one daughter-in-law, David Hartsfield, Wesley and Starla Hartsfield, Bruce Hartsfield and Justin Hartsfield, all of Tifton; one daughter, April Hartsfield of Tifton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Mike Floyd of Hartford, Alabama and Mary Ann and Rudy Smith of Norman Park; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
