Obituary

Margaret F. (Bonang) Nasatka "Peggy", of Plainfield, died Thursday, August 2, 2018 with her family at her side.

Margaret was predeceased by her Mother, Florence Bonang; Father Philip Bonang; Son Winfield "Scotty" Robbins and Brother-In-Law, Walter Nasatka, Jr.

Peggy's family always came first in her life, always beaming with that special love she had for her husband Tom, son Joey and his fiancé Rachel. Peggy also loved and looked forward to the special times and events with her family and friends. She adored her cats, Samuel and Sampson. Peggy had a genuine love of life that radiated from her beautiful smile and a soft side that you couldn't help but notice and love. She loved cooking and it became her career for many years of her adult life. Peggy loved spending time at the gym near her house and had the best of times with her friends there. She also loved to walk the neighborhood and stop in at the local coffee shop, the Bakers Dozen, in town. Besides her residence in CT, she also lived in TN near her son, which she loved and hoped to return to one day. She also had a love for the property she shared with her husband, Tom, in Maine with the hope of spending retirement living in TN and Maine.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas, her son Joseph Keaveny and his fiancé Rachel Enevoldsen; her brothers, Raymond and his wife Joann, William Bonang and Philip Bonang; sister and brother-in-laws Patricia Clay, Donald Nasatka and Darcelle Flanagan, Linda and William Palmer and Debra and Jeffrey Hankins; her precious Grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kyle Whipple; Nieces and Nephews, Jessica and Josef Knets, Raymond Bonang Jr., Allison Bonang, Brittany Bonang, Ryan and Jessica Fleet, Jeffrey Hankins Jr., Shannon Hankins, Alexis Hankins, Andrew and Stephanie Palmer, Lori Clay and Thomas Clay Jr.; Great Nieces and Nephews, Madelynn Knets, Alexander Knets, Hazel Bonang, Chase Bonang, Taylor Ivory, Brook Lynn Ivory, Brandon Clay, Isabella Palmer and Emberlee Hankins; Great-great Niece and Nephew, Aaliyah Eley, Elias Rosa and Aunt, Jean Sorensen.

A funeral service was held on Monday, August 6, at 11:30am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic. Burial was held on Wednesday, August 8, at 11:00am in Avery-Stoddard Cemetery, Route 214, Ledyard.
