Lynn Hope, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Annette Brooks, the Rev. Matthew Isennock and the Rev. B. J. Funk officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 5 PM until 7 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Hope was born August 18, 1956, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Millard Ray, Sr. & Zelda Carver Hope. He graduated from Citizens Christian Academy in Douglas, Georgia. Mr. Hope moved from Broxton to Fitzgerald in 1985 and worked in sales for Strate Welding for over 30 years. His favorite pastime was watching his son play football and tennis. Mr. Hope was a faithful member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church and was a firm believer that “Jesus is Lord”.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Janet Hope of Fitzgerald; a son, Danny Hope of Fitzgerald; brothers: Millard Ray Hope, Jr. of Broxton and Will Hope & Trish of Douglas; sisters: Judy Kirkland & Ed of Warner Robins and Patricia Hope of Broxton; his father and mother-in-law: Willis & Judy Stallings of Newnan and a sister-in-law and her husband: Phyllis Isennock & Matthew of Newnan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel Hope and Robert Hope.
