TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Anne Marie (Nichols) Cliff, age 89, a retired dietary manager and mother of seven, died peacefully constantly surrounded by her family Tuesday evening, July 31, at Blairehouse of Tewksbury after a brief period of declining health. She was the wife of William J. Cliff, who died in 2003.
She was born in Chicago, in May 1929, one of four children of the late John and Josephine (Gorman) Nichols, and had lived her entire life in Tewksbury.
In addition to raising her large family, she became a Dietary Assistant at Tewksbury Hospital, and achieved the position of Dietary Supervisor after forty-seven years of service to the Hospital.
She was a member of the Centerville Social Club in Lowell, and held the distinction of having become the first female member of the organization.
She leaves her children, Mary-Jo Tremblay of Tewksbury, Carol Bianchini and her partner Stephen Murphy of Tewksbury, Linda Duhamel of Chelmsford, Anne Hoirt and her partner Thomas Smith of Andover, Bonnie Rosemond and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury, William J. Cliff Jr. and his wife Maryanne of Tewksbury; a former son-in-law, Omer Tremblay of Lowell; eighteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Boissoneault and grandson, Jason Bianchini.
At her request funeral services are private.
