Obituary

Thomas V. DelZoppo, 92, of Franklin formerly of Scituate, died July 30 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jean (Swartz) DelZoppo.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, July 20, 1926, the son of the late Camilla and Philomena (Salviani) DelZoppo, Thomas was raised in Hyde Park and had lived in Norwood and Scituate before moving to Franklin a month ago.

He had been a crane operator for several construction companies. He loved the beach, the ocean and gardening.

Mr. DelZoppo served in the Army during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal.

He is survived by his daughter Marie A. DelZoppo and her companion Stephen McAlear of Franklin.

He is also survived by his brother Vincent DelZoppo of Dedham and Dora Apria of Norwood. He was the brother of the late Salomina Mammone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His calling hours will be held on Friday, August 3 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 4-7 p.m.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
