In Boston, July 29, 2018, Helen G. (Yokell) Howlett. It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing at Brigham & Women’s Hospital at the age of 83. A long time resident of Raynham, Helen is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Roger Howlett. She was born in Boston, her late parents Raymond & Helen (Malloy) Yokell. She was survived by her son and daughter–in-law of Roger & Ann-Marie Howlett of Lakeville, MA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Howard Cathcart of Raynham, MA; and daughter and son-in-law, Valerie & Chris Hoffman of Palm Springs, CA; Sister, Rita Sullivan of Bedford, MA; and her four grandchildren, Brian McDonald and Rachel Marilyn McDonald of Raynham, Ashley Marie Howlett of Lakeville, and Jesse Cathcart also of Raynham. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, William and James Yokell; Sister Marjorie Blanch and her grandson, the late Joshua Cathcart. Helen was a woman of strong faith and was active in her church, Saint Ann’s, in Raynham, teaching CCD for many years. She was a woman devoted to her family and her firm belief in God. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and many that considered her a second mother, all of who celebrate the fact she is at peace with her creator. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, August 6th at 9:45am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6pm. Burial will be in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham.
