Nancy C. Doherty, 81, of El Paso, TX, died Monday July 30, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Malden, MA on July 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Walter and Elsa (Sandgren) Gylfe. She had been a resident of El Paso for the past year and a half, formerly living in Londonderry, NH and Stuart, FL. Nancy was known to be the backbone of her family, and was always there to provide needed guidance and emotional support. She was an amazing women who loved to cook three meals a day and have a clean house, but her most enjoyable time was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Roger L. Doherty, and her daughter, Linda C. Vandervort, both of El Paso; her granddaughter, Heather Hathaway and her husband Joe; and two great grandchildren, Maliyah and Anthony Hathaway. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger L. Doherty in 1995, and her sons, Nicky R. Doherty in 1997, and Michael S. Doherty in 2017.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, August 7th from 5 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A funeral service was held at 7:00pm at the close of calling hours. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 8th at 11:00am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH.
