Obituary

Amelia “Carmie” (Dangelo) Chiodetti, 90, a lifelong town resident, died peacefully Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Genesis of Milford, following an extended period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Chiodetti, who died in 1988.

Born in Franklin, June 14, 1928 a daughter of the late Antonio and Teresa (Piccirilli) Dangelo she was raised and educated in Franklin. For more than 17 years and until her retirement, she worked as a cook for the priests and staff at the Xaverian Missionary Fathers in Holliston.

Carmie was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin, and was a former longtime member of Franklin Lodge #1414 Sons of Italy. She loved to travel, especially back to Italy, and loved to cook Italian Food.

She is survived by a sister: Eileen L. Clifford of Franklin, a sister in law Marion R. Dangelo of Franklin, a niece Diane E. Dangelo of Franklin, several cousins and many friends. She is the mother of the late Peter J. Chiodetti, Jr., and the sister of the late, Thomas A. Dangelo, Nicholas “Nicky” Dangelo, and John A. Dangelo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, August 1st at 11AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. Internment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin. Visitation at the funeral home with family will be held Wednesday morning from 10 to 11AM.
