Theresa (Ferrone) Simeone, of Somerville, died Saturday, July 28th, at the Courtyard Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family and dedicated care givers. Born and raised in Gaeta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Nicolina (DiRusso) Ferrone.
Theresa loved being a hairdresser, and was the proud owner of Michaels Hair Salon, in Somerville. Every morning on her way to open the beauty parlor Cosmo and Theresa would be seen holding hands walking down Broadway. She was devoted to her customers and established many lifelong friendships.
When Theresa was not working at the salon, she enjoyed cooking for her family, preparing numerous traditional Italian dishes with her loving husband Cosmo by her side. Spending time with her family was extremely important, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Cosmo Simeone. She was the devoted mother of Tina Saunders and her late husband Paul of Medford and Niki Sicard and her husband Dave of Burlington. Loving grandmother of Stephen, David, Brian, Sean, Kristopher, Denise and the late Paul J. Loving great-grandmother of Gianna, Cameron, Isabella, Jillian, Arianna, Makayla, Stephen Jr., Alex and Gianluca.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, August 2nd at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 to 11 AM. Burial will be private.
