Obituary

Anastasia Caroline Sawicki, 75 of Londonderry passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday the 27th of July in Hospice Care at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.

Born in Jersey City, NJ to the late George and Anastasia Hodges, Anastasia was raised in Hoboken where she met and married Richard, her husband of 58 years. Together with their children, the loves of her life, they moved to Woodbridge where their family resided for another 27 years before retiring to Toms River, NJ and Londonderry, NH.

Anastasia was a member of the VFW and American Legion of South Amboy, NJ and Derry, NH receiving numerous honors for her contributions in the community. Anastasia's passion for helping others brought her to the Licensed Nursing Assistant profession, where she was a dedicated caregiver, sharing her magnetic sense of humor to improve the quality of life of those who were blessed to have known her.

Predeceased by her loving brother George (Butchie) Hodges, Anastasia is survived by her husband Richard and four children; Stephen Sawicki and his wife Maureen of Londonderry, Edmund Sawicki of New Lisbon, NJ; Cheryl Sawicki of Woodbridge, NJ; and Richard Sawicki of Parlin, NJ. Anastasia also leaves behind her loving grandchildren Alyssa Sawicki of Nashua, NH and Lisa Racioppi of Toms River, NJ; her great grandchildren Donnaliz, Michaul and Francisco; her sisters Georgean Falco and Lorraine DePinto, as well as many nieces and nephews including her Goddaughter Melissa Falco-Gigante.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road Londonderry, NH from 5 to 8pm. Arrangements in New Jersey are being handled by Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home of Woodbridge, NJ.
