Antley Harper Stephens, 79, of Omega passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Omega Church of God with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Dr. Danny Ray will give a eulogy. Mrs. Stephens will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Stephens will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Donald Smith, Shane Douglas, Danny Moncreif, Duck Smith, Alton Benefield and Luis Jimenez will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Omega Church of God Ladies Ministry.
Born January 1, 1939 in Irwin County, Mrs. Stephens was the daughter of the late Willie Harper and Madelene Griffin Harper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stephens; one daughter, Pam Stephens; and one sister, Maxie Mae Pitts. Before retiring, she worked at Blue Ridge Shoe Company and Patrick Farms in Tifton. She was a member of Omega Church of God. She loved her family and her special friend, “Pumpkin”.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cindy Stephens of Omega; one sister, Jean Nolen of Omega; and several nieces and nephews.
