FALL RIVER… Joan A. (Carvalho) Machado, 78, of Fall River passed away July 18, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel M. and Georgiana (Tavares) Carvalho and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Machado worked as a Home Health Aide and enjoyed cookouts, fireworks, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time at the beach.
Survivors include her children: Anthony M. Machado of Fall River and Jo-Ann Machado of Malden, MA; her sisters: Linda Mello of Taunton and Carol Rego of East Greenwich, RI; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
