Sheila Galligan, of Canton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 26, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G Galligan. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Hannah McGillicuddy. Devoted mother of Marianne G. Herlihy and her husband Joseph of Needham, Kathleen G. McWain of Holbrook, Joseph J. Galligan and his wife Robin of Irvine, CA, Sheila Perry and her husband Ronald of Quincy, and Charles G. Galligan and his wife Cathy of Essex Fells NJ. Loving sister to her predeceased siblings, Mary Crowley, Alice McGillicuddy, Dr. John M. McGillicuddy, Margaret Condon, Anna Marie McPeak, Thomas F. McGillicuddy, and Geraldine Langdon. Cherished cousin of Thomas J McGillicuddy and Alice McGillicuddy and the late Patricia Bowen. Adored “Grammy G” to 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Patrick McGillicuddy and his wife Dana of Medford. Visiting hours Sunday from 3-7 in the Roache-Pushard Funeral Home 210 Sherman Street Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington Street, Canton, Monday at 10:30. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
