ROBBINS, Roy W. Roy W. Robbins, 95, passed away on July 15, 2018. He was born in Fort Fairfield, ME, the son of Roy and Helen (Beckwith) Robbins. He was predeceased in 2009 by his beloved wife Joan B. Robbins. They were married 66 years and lived in New Hartford, CT for over 40 years. Roy was a house builder, land developer, and restorer of 18th century houses. He and Joan also had an antiques business buying and selling early American antiques. He loved music, fishing, hunting, wood carving and enjoyed many other hobbies.
Roy leaves his children, Sheila Robbins of Framingham, MA and Brenda Robbins Wood and her husband Eric of Weston, MA; grandchildren Michael Wood, Eric Wood and his wife Michele, and Elizabeth Collins and her husband Matthew. He also leaves twelve great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Meredith, Monica, Billy, Tommy, Natalie and Jonathan Collins; Emilie Wood, Eric Wood, Mia Senechal; Jack Wood; and great great granddaughter Madison Spear. The family requests that people who want to make a memorial contribution donate to their favorite charity.
