Angelo D'Amico of Medford died on Saturday, July 21. Born and raised in Bagheria, Sicily, he was the son of the late Aurelio and Anna (Raimondo) D'Amico. Angelo proudly served in the Italian navy before moving to the U.S in the mid 1960's. He settled first in Boston's North End before coming to Medford in 1972. Angelo was employed as a mason, and was a member of Local 3 in Charlestown.
Angelo was the beloved husband of the late Gina (Susi) D'Amico, and devoted father of Aurelio D'Amico of Swampscott, and Daniel D'Amico and his wife Bridgette of Wilmington. He was the loving grandfather of Kaylee, Alayna, Maya, Sophia and Nicholas D'Amico. Angelo was predeceased by his siblings Nicola and Rosa, and is survived by many loving relatives in Sicily.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Thursday, July 26 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 9 AM though 11 AM prior to the mass. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
