Obituary

“Teamsters”Joseph R. Tuttle, a 52 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home in Somerville. He was 80 years of age.

Joe was born in Boston on November 28, 1937, a son of the late Wendell Tuttle and Mary (Guitar) Tuttle. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School . Joe enlisted into the United States Army and served his country faithfully. Joe worked as a Truck Driver for several companies including Pilot, McLean and Glenmor and was a dedicated member of the Teamsters Union Local # 25 for over 40 years. Joe was a member of the Somerville Auxillary Police Department for over 10 years. Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe was a family man who cherished the quality times he spent with each one of his children and grandchildren especially his beloved wife and best friend Patricia who passed away in 2009.

Joe is the adoring husband of the late Patricia L. (Williams) Tuttle. He is the devoted father of Joseph R. Tuttle Jr., Jane Tuttle, John Tuttle, Jeffrey Tuttle, Jill Tuttle, David Tuttle and the late James Tuttle. He is the loving Grandfather to James Tuttle Jr., Sarah Tuttle, Daniel Tuttle, Elizabeth Tuttle, Brian Tuttle, Lucas Tuttle, Emma Tuttle, Christopher Hedwall and Katy Hedwall. He is the beloved brother of Fannie Juliano, Marylou White, Paul Tuttle, Bertha Hallisey and the late Nancy D'Angelo. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Joe's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
