William G. Gautreau
Retired Vice President of Manufacturing for Raytheon

TEWKSBURY: William G. Gautreau, age 84, a resident of Tewksbury for over 20 years, formerly of Palm Coast FL, and Reading, MA, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Hellen M. (Peterson) Gautreau, who passed away on March 18, 2014. They were High School sweethearts and together shared 61 years of blissful marriage.

Born in Mount Vernon, New York on February 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna G. (Fandozzi) Gautreau.

William was raised in Quincy, MA, where he attended local schools and graduated from Quincy High School.
He later attended Northeastern University, where he received his B.A. Degree in Industrial Management.

Prior to his retirement, he served as Vice President of Manufacturing for the Raytheon Corporation and retired at age 56.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, searching for bargains at garage sales, boating and serving as a member of the Reading Police Reserve for over 10 years. He was also an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams and watched their games religiously.

He is survived by four children, Wayne Gautreau and his wife Andrea of Laconia, NH, Dennis Gautreau and his wife Cyndi of Milford, NH, Monica Kelly and her husband Bob of Hudson, NH, and Karla Rossi and her boyfriend John Lydon of Wakefield, MA; his sister, Rosalie Hansen and her husband Ken of Palm Coast, FL; eight grandchildren, William J. Gautreau and his wife Jamie, Brandon Kelly and his fiancé, Caitlin Thompson, Jonathan and Stephanie Kelly, Nicholas, Leah, and Jenna Rossi, and Madeline Gautreau; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

William was the brother of the late Delores Hinchee, Edward, and Richard Gautreau.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury. Interment of his ashes will be held at a later date at Tewksbury Cemetery. Please Omit Flowers.
