108, of Smithfield, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2018. She was the widow of Ernest LaTorre Sr. and daughter of the late Antonio and Bernardina (Bastardo) Verdi. She was the mother of Ernest LaTorre Jr. of Smithfield, with whom she made her home, and Vilma Poteat of NH. She was the mother of the late Carmen Boyce and Lillian Abatecola and sister of the late Teresa Ciorlano, Thomas Verdi, Josephine Verdi, Geno Verdi, Lester Verdi, Elenore Paparella and Evelyn Fargnoli. She also leaves behind her loving daughter-in-law Elaine, LaTorre and her son-in-law, Kenneth Boyce, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday 10am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Private burial at the convenience of the family. Visitation Thursday morning 8-9am in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Rt 44, at Greenville Common, Greenville.
