Helen “Marie” Hall, 73, of Tifton passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, in Panama City, Florida. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Hall will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jamie Carter, Matt Gill, Josh Langston, Aaron Skipper, Brad Dotson and Terry Rowland will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hall was born August 10, 1944 in Bristol, Tennessee to the late Helen Frances Barrett and John Price and was raised there, but currently resided in Tifton with her daughter. She was of the Baptist faith. During her younger years, while married to her love, Jim, they traveled and lived in several states, including Florida, Georgia and Virginia. Mrs. Hall worked as a dental technician for many years, before she became a homemaker. She was a beloved mother, wife, Meme and friend to so many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James Emmitt Hall; and one son, Robert Lorenz Carter.
Over the years, she so enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her favorite things she enjoyed were going to the beach every year with family and friends, shopping, drinking coffee and spending the day with her beloved cat, Susie.
Her favorite quote was, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
Mrs. Hall is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal Carter (Doyle Rogers) of Tifton and Angie Skipper (Khomas Skipper) of Tallasshee, Florida; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jamie Carter (Sarah Carter) of Gray, Tennessee, Tara Gill (Matt Gill) of Omega, Amanda Langston (Josh Langston) of Sopchoppy, Florida, Summer Weeks (Adam Weeks) of Tallasshee, Florida, Ashley Skipper of Crawfordville, Florida and Aaron Skipper of Crawfordville, Florida; and seven great-grandchildren, Jenna Gill, Presley Langston, Austin Carter, Harley Grace Carter, Emmi Carter, Dalton Weeks and Braylon Stewart.
