Madison M. “Dubie” Wilds, 83, of Tifton passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley, the Rev. Rickey Wells and the Rev. Kevin Dawson officiating. Mr. Wilds will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Wilds’ nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 14, 1935 in Tift County, Mr. Wilds was the son of the late Glenn Wilds and Ruth Overstreet Wilds. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He was retired from the Georgia State Patrol and was a member of the Georgia Sheriff’s Association. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Wilds is survived by his wife, Annette McBrayer Wilds of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Reba and Donald Selph and Cynthia and Jess Strayer, all of Tifton; six grandchildren, Apahril Moore, Dori Stempinski, Jesse Strayer Jr., Brandon Selph, Brandi Selph and Jessica Kinsey; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
