Robert J. Reall, Sr., 85, North Providence, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home. He was the husband of Helen A. (Rigney) Reall. They had been married for 60 years.
Mr. Reall was the father of Mary Ellen Buckland of Merrimac, MA and Meg Lane of North Kingstown. He was the father of the late Robert J. Reall, Jr., who died June 25, 2017. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Makayla Lane and Brendan Buckland, a brother, Harold "Buddy" Reall and his wife, Marie. He was the son of the late Harold E. and Margaret A. Reall.
Bob had a very active and wonderful life. He graduated from LaSalle Academy and the world renowned apprentice program at Brown & Sharpe. He coached “Buddy Basketball,” was a Eucharistic Minister, a CCD teacher and a weekly volunteer at the BINGO fundraiser at St. Lawrence Church in North Providence.
During his career, he was a Manufacturing Engineer & Senior Buyer at Stanley Bostitch, President of the Bostitch Credit Union, and President of the Bostitch Social Club for retirees.
He was a member of the East Greenwich Firemen's Club, a former member of The Mozart Group at the Mary Hall’s Music Room, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Holy Name Church Alumni Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 11am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation omitted.
