In Fall River, July 18, 2018 Phyllis V. Lema, Age 82, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family in St. Ann’s Hospital. Phyllis was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel & Susan (Perry) Lema. She had resided most of her life in Taunton. Phyllis was a graduate of the St. Luke’s Hospital Nursing Program and worked as an RN for Morton Hospital and JRI. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, volunteered for veterans, was a marksman for the N.R.A. enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing Cards Against Humanity and spending time with her family. Phyllis leaves her beloved children, Thomas Russo of FL, Susan Nemec and her husband Jeffrey of Barnstable and Robert Russo of Taunton. She also leaves her siblings, Mary Lema of Taunton, Lawrence Lema of FL and her late brother Robert Lema. Phyllis also leaves her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Thomas, Elizabeth, Katy and Joshua. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, July 24th at 11am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
