Obituary

On Thursday, July 19th, John P. Carnazza, 63, passed away peacefully. He was the loving husband of Steffanie (Dorman); loving father of Tara and Jennifer Conroy-Labouef and her husband, Sean. Survived by his mother, Anne-Marie (Campbell) Lynch; two siblings and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews, who adorned their time with Uncle John.
John was born and raised in Worcester, the son of the late Paul Carnazza. The late Uncle John Splaine and his wife, Mildred; and his step-father, William “Bill” Lynch, the late husband of Anne-Marie, hold a special place in John’s heart. Upon graduating Doherty Memorial High School, he had a lengthy career with Makita Power Tools. John went on to become a successful independent business owner.
John grew up with a love for sports and attended yearly Boston Red Sox games with his family. With a passion for antique cars, he was a proud member of the Worcester County Model A Club and an active member with the Auburn Elks Club; participating in their summer antique car shows. In addition, he was an avid gardener, bee-keeper, and beer maker. John most enjoyed his daily walks and coffee shop visits!
A special thank you goes to Dr. Anthony Izzo for his time and dedication to John’s care.
His funeral is Tuesday, July 24th with a service at 3:00 PM in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by calling hours until 7:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society (hdsa.org), 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York New York 10018.
